My take on reality...

If God created through evolution, why did Jesus die?

Irrefutable proof that the theory of evolution and Biblical creation cannot be reconciled

- Tinus de Bruyn

Many Christians believe that evolution is not contrary to the Bible. They are convinced that the two can be blended. The reason for their conviction is that not a year passes without the publication of yet another book, in which it is claimed that the theory of evolution is compatible with the Bible. With small variance, the authors of these books keep regurgitating the same old ideas, focusing on the seven days of creation, the evolutionary interpretation of the fossil record, old-earth hypothesis and other technical aspects. Aesthetics are part of our make-up, and beauty is a concept as universal as song, dance and picture making. Nevertheless, it has become fashionable to deny the universality of aesthetics, mainly because doing that opens the door to immorality and denying God... READ MORE

When conservative is not liberal:

Who do you call a conservative, and why? - Tinus de Bruyn

Christians are often typecast as conservatives. Creationists especially, are considered extremely conservative. By contrast, atheists, naturalists and cynics are automatically associated with “liberalism,” as though they have discovered some greater freedom. But the whole idea of classing people as conservative versus liberal is really a misnomer; a straw man at best, designed to insult, and not a reasonable proposition... READ MORE
